Is the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold on a Mazda 6 in one piece?
I v6 March 1 M6 (more than 80k miles) and replacing the drive catalytic back, connected to the collector of last year. Now, to be followed should be replaced. But someone told me that one in the front is permanently connected with the exhaust manifold. So I have to buy a new cat and a collector's item. I do not need the collector just chat. Is this true or can be discredited as rear?
The front is welded to prevent leakage of exhaust gases from the exhaust gases is both incredibly hot and has a lot of pressure.
